Superb wine (100 points Wine Spectator 5/1999), superb bottle (low
neck fill, exceptional for a 41 year old wine), I bought it from
Connoisseur Wine Imports on Bryant in 1970 as part of a full case.
This is the last bottle left. I have kept it in my cellar since
purchase. The Comte de Lur Saluces (the owner of Chateau d'Yquem)
told me to never drink this wine, it was too good to drink! That
being said, here is the unmatchable birthday present for a 41 year
old, who deserves the BEST. Please email if you have any questions.
Tear at the bottom of importer's label, staining on d'Yquem label
(no tears). Gorgeous ruby color, photo is pretty accurate as to
wine color.
